I am currently partnered with fragrance company in search of an Analyst / Technical Perfumer based in the Barcelona area.

This opportunity would suit an experienced fragrance professional with a strong background in fragrance matching, technical analysis, reformulation, and fragrance development.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of experience within Creative Perfumery, Technical Perfumery, Analytical Perfumery, or a related fragrance role.
• Proven experience in fragrance matching and reverse engineering.
• Excellent knowledge of fragrance raw materials and the fragrance palette.
• Experience with GCMS analysis and fragrance evaluation.
• Knowledge of IFRA regulations and fragrance compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Perfumery, or a related discipline preferred.
• Experience across Fine Fragrance, Personal Care and/or Home Care is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct technical analysis and reverse engineering of fragrances and client reference samples.
• Create, adapt and reformulate fragrances according to client briefs, regulatory requirements and cost targets.
• Support fragrance matching projects through analytical and olfactive evaluation.
• Manage raw material substitutions and cost optimisation projects.
• Participate in innovation and fragrance development projects.
• Collaborate closely with Evaluation, Sales and Marketing teams.
• Contribute to olfactory trend development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with IFRA and relevant fragrance regulations.
