International School is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Geography and History Teacher to join our Secondary School team for a maternity cover position starting in September 2026 . The successful candidate will teach within the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the IB Diploma Programme (DP) (History and Geography).

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational objectives
• Design assessments and learning activities that support student achievement and progress
• Monitor student learning and provide timely feedback
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
• Integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school initiatives
• Participate actively in professional development opportunities and the wider life of the school

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Humanities or a related field within the Arts and Humanities branch of knowledge
• Recognised teaching qualification, including the Master’s Degree in Secondary Education (or equivalent teaching certification).
• Previous teaching experience at Secondary level.
• English proficiency at C1 level or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable

• Experience teaching IB programmes (MYP and/or DP).
• Experience working in international school settings.
• Spanish language skills.
