DevOps Engineer

Barcelona (El Prat de Llobregat) | Hybrid (3 days remote)

Are you passionate about automation, platform reliability, and modern infrastructure? We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a growing Middleware team and play a key role in the modernization of critical platforms and services used by customers worldwide.

This is an opportunity to work across multiple projects, helping drive infrastructure automation, CI/CD excellence, and operational reliability while collaborating with engineering, database, IT, product, and R&D teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting software deployments across multiple sites and datacenters.

• Operate and evolve on-premises Kubernetes environments and legacy platforms hosting business-critical applications.

• Drive Infrastructure as Code initiatives and automation strategies to improve consistency, scalability, and operational efficiency.

• Implement and enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure platform reliability and observability.

• Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform Root Cause Analysis, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Support software release processes, automated testing, system performance analysis, and platform optimization.

• Lead automation efforts using technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Database, IT Operations, Product, Project Management, and R&D.

What We’re Looking For

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in DevOps, SRE, IT Operations, or Production Engineering environments.

• Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes platforms, ideally in on-premises environments.

• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Argo CD.

• Solid Infrastructure as Code experience with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Helm.

• Strong Linux and Windows administration skills.

• Experience supporting and troubleshooting Java applications in production.

• Knowledge of MS SQL Server and/or Oracle databases.

• Experience with VMware ESXi and general networking concepts.

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.

• Understanding of microservices and modern application architectures.

• Passion for automation, reliability, and continuous improvement.

• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across teams.

• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.

• Fluent English.

You’ll join the Middleware (ePayments) team, supporting critical platforms including the company’s Data Center infrastructure and customer-facing products. This is a highly collaborative environment where priorities evolve based on business needs, providing exposure to a wide variety of technical challenges and stakeholders.
