About the Role:

Job Title – API Enablement Lead

Location – Sant Cugat, Barcelona, Spain

Mode of Work – Hybrid (3 Days Onsite Per Week)

Type of Hiring – Permanent

Total Experience: 10+ Years

Relevant Experience: 8+ Years in API Enablement, Integration Support, or Solution Enablement

Role Summary

The API / Solution Enablement Lead ensures that approved technical designs are understood, adopted, and used correctly by internal and external consumers. This role acts as the primary bridge between solution design and real world consumption.

This role does not make architectural decisions and does not own delivery or requirements.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and service-oriented architectures
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and integration patterns
• Ability to interpret architecture diagrams and technical solution documents
• Expertise in creating sequence diagrams and API flow documentation using PlantUML
• Familiarity with API lifecycle management and onboarding processes
• Strong documentation and technical communication skills
• Experience working with distributed/global teams
• Knowledge of API gateways, authentication, and integration standards is preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Translate approved technical architectures into clear API flows, sequence diagrams, and practical usage examples
• Develop and maintain integration guidance for internal engineering teams and external partners
• Support API onboarding and enablement activities across multiple programs and initiatives
• Act as the primary point of contact for solution consumers regarding API usage and adoption
• Simplify technical understanding and reduce dependency on architects and senior engineers for recurring clarifications
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and business teams to ensure consistent understanding of integration solutions
• Create reusable enablement artifacts, technical documentation, and knowledge assets
• Ensure solution consumers are equipped with accurate implementation guidance and best practices

Good to have / Must have skills:

Must Have

• Strong API and integration knowledge
• Experience creating sequence diagrams using PlantUML
• Ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
• Experience supporting API enablement and onboarding activities

Good to Have

• Exposure to API gateways and integration platforms
• Experience working with external partners/vendors
• Knowledge of Agile delivery environments
• Familiarity with cloud-based integration ecosystems and microservices architecture

Qualification & Certification (If any):

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• Certifications in API Management, Integration Technologies, or Cloud Platforms are an added advantage
• PlantUML or technical documentation expertise preferred
