AWS / Backend Engineer (AWS CDK & Serverless)

Remote (Spain & Portugal Preferred)

Duration: 12 months + extensions

Rate: €25–€30/hour

We are looking for an AWS / Backend Engineer to help engineering teams design, maintain and improve cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK-based building blocks.

You will support teams adopting internal CDK constructs, migrate existing infrastructure from other Infrastructure as Code solutions, and help ensure secure, reliable and scalable production environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain and improve cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK
• Support engineering teams in adopting internal CDK building blocks
• Migrate existing infrastructure from Terraform, Serverless Framework and other IaC solutions to AWS CDK
• Maintain and evolve serverless environments
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Ensure infrastructure reliability, security, compliance and observability
• Support production deployments and operational activities

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of software development experience
• Strong experience with AWS services and ecosystem
• Hands-on experience with AWS CDK
• Experience with CloudFormation
• Experience building and maintaining serverless architectures
• Strong TypeScript skills (used for Infrastructure as Code)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and configuration management
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Experience redesigning application infrastructure or architecture
• Strong understanding of software deployment lifecycles and production environments

• Experience migrating between Infrastructure as Code platforms
