Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on and strategic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the build-out of our internal technology function from the ground up. This role is critical in shaping the company’s technical foundation, scaling infrastructure, and driving the development of client-facing products. The CTO will act as a key bridge between technology, business, and customers, ensuring that our solutions are both robust and aligned with market needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Build and Scale the Technology Team

• Define and execute the strategy to create an internal engineering and product development team
• Transition from external/informal setups to a structured, scalable in-house tech organization
• Recruit, develop, and lead high-performing engineering, product, and infrastructure talent
• Establish engineering culture, ways of working, and technical standards

2. Infrastructure & Architecture Ownership

• Design and oversee a scalable, secure, and resilient technology infrastructure
• Ensure systems are built for growth, performance, and reliability
• Define architectural standards and long-term technical roadmap
• Manage technical debt and drive modernization where needed

3. Product Development (Client-Facing)

• Lead the development of digital products and solutions for clients
• Translate business and client needs into scalable technical solutions
• Oversee full product lifecycle: ideation, development, deployment, and iteration
• Ensure high-quality delivery aligned with client expectations and timelines

4. Direct Client & Business Interaction

• Act as a technical counterpart in key client discussions
• Understand client needs and co-create solutions with commercial teams
• Support pre-sales and solution design from a technical perspective
• Build trusted relationships with strategic clients

5. Technology Strategy & Leadership

• Define the overall technology vision aligned with business strategy
• Partner with leadership team on growth, innovation, and digital transformation
• Drive adoption of best practices in engineering, security, and scalability

Requirements

• Strong track record of building internal tech teams from early stage or transformation environments
• Experience designing and scaling infrastructure and software architecture
• Background in building client-facing digital products or platforms
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on when needed
• Strong communication skills and client-facing experience
• Experience in fast-growing, international or consulting/product environments is a plus
