About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on and strategic Director of Business Development Europe to accelerate growth across the security solutions market . This is a hybrid role that combines direct sales responsibility , strategic business development , and leadership of a regional BDM team .
The ideal candidate will operate both as an individual contributor—managing key accounts and driving revenue—and as a leader, guiding and scaling a team of Business Development Managers across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Drive revenue growth across Europe by identifying and developing new business opportunities in the security solutions market
- Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic key accounts
- Build strong relationships with distributors, integrators, and end customers
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies tailored to regional markets
- Lead complex negotiations and close high-value deals
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) across multiple European countries
- Set clear targets, KPIs, and performance expectations
- Monitor pipeline, sales performance, and forecasting accuracy
- Foster a high-performance, results-driven sales culture
Strategic Growth
- Identify new market segments, partnerships, and expansion opportunities
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations teams
- Provide market insights and customer feedback to influence product strategy
- Analyze competitors and market trends to maintain a competitive edge
Profile Requirements
- Proven track record in business development and sales within the security solutions industry (e.g., access control, video surveillance, biometrics, etc.)
- Strong experience managing large European territories
- Demonstrated success in both direct sales (hunter) and team leadership
- Experience leading and developing international sales or business development teams
- Strong network within the security ecosystem (distributors, integrators, partners)
- Highly strategic mindset with a hands-on, results-oriented approach
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
- Willingness to travel frequently across Europe
- The candidate must be located in Madrid.
