The Project Engineer is responsible for leading and coordinating all engineering disciplines (process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and civil) throughout the Oil & gas project lifecycle (conceptual, FEED, execution and commissioning), ensuring alignment with project objectives in terms of scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety and operability.
He shall be responsible for preparing the request for proposals for EPCI contracts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare autonomously EPCIC request for proposals.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams across all project phases.
• Ensure integration between disciplines (Process, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, I&C, Civil/Structural).
• Manage engineering deliverables (PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, specifications, 3D models).
• Define and control engineering schedule, budget and progress (interfaces with planning and cost control).
• Support technical decision-making during Conceptual, Pre-FEED and FEED stages.
• Coordinate with procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
• Identify and manage project risks and interfaces between disciplines and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, international codes and HSE requirements.
• Lead technical meetings, design reviews and interface management sessions.
REQUIREMENTS
• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or equivalent).
• More than 10 years of experience in Facilities Engineering Oil & Gas projects.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of all engineering disciplines within facilities projects.
• Experience in FEED / EPC phases and project execution.
• Project management knowledge (planning, cost control, risk management).
• Advanced English level (B2+/C1). Native Spanish
• Based in Madrid with availability to travel internationally.
