New Junior Construction Manager job — fibre optic civil works across Germany, with accommodation, company car and flights provided.

We are recruiting Junior Construction Managers (m/f/d) on behalf of an established international contractor delivering fibre optic and civil infrastructure projects across Europe. This is a great job opportunity for an early-career engineer who wants hands-on site leadership from day one, working on Germany’s fibre-to-the-home rollout.

Projects are currently live in NRW (Düsseldorf, Essen) and Munich/Bavaria, with the option to rotate between locations every 3–4 months.

The Role

As Junior Construction Manager, you’ll oversee fibre optic civil works on site — leading a crew of approx. 8 civil workers, coordinating with telecom providers, and owning delivery against programme, budget and HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities

▸ Monitor site activities, schedules and work coordination

▸ Lead and manage site crews (approx. 8 civil workers)

▸ Ensure delivery on time, on budget and to quality standards

▸ Coordinate with telecom providers and maintain site documentation

▸ Manage materials, equipment, vehicles and daily workforce deployment

▸ Uphold permits, HSE compliance and risk/cost control

What You’ll Bring

▸ Degree in Civil, Structural, Environmental, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related)

▸ Previous on-site construction experience preferred

▸ Strong English (written & spoken) + minimum B1 German

▸ Proficiency with Microsoft Office

▸ Leadership, organisation and adaptability on site

▸ EU citizenship (required)

What’s on Offer

▸ Salary: €36,500 – €45,000 gross p.a. (base + tax-free monthly allowance) + benefits

▸ Christmas bonus: 70% of one month’s gross salary

▸ Accommodation: single housing provided (tax-free)

▸ Company car + fuel card assigned to each engineer

▸ Flights: at least one return ticket per project, with further travel support possible

▸ 24 days annual leave (includes shutdowns: 3 weeks August, last week December, 1st week January)

▸ Strong training culture — Health & Safety certification and ongoing development
