Belmoney
About the Role
We are hiring a Junior Treasury Analyst to support daily liquidity, cash positioning, and reconciliation across our banking and payment partners. You will sit at the operational core of the treasury function, where money movement, regulatory safeguarding, and multi-currency settlement come together.
Success in this position means the business always has accurate daily visibility of its cash, reconciliations are clean and timely, corridors are funded without disruption, and the data feeding our liquidity forecasts is reliable. Within six months you will own the daily cash position process end to end and be a trusted point of reference for treasury data across the company.
The role reports into the treasury function and works closely with FP&A, operations, accounting, and our external/ internal partners. It is a strong entry point for someone who wants to build a career in treasury or payments inside a regulated financial environment, with direct exposure to senior finance leadership and to the mechanics of how a cross-border payments business actually runs.
Responsibilities
- Consolidate and monitor daily cash positions across all bank accounts and payment partners, producing a clear daily cash report for the finance team.
- Execute and verify reconciliations between internal ledgers, banking partners, and safeguarding accounts, flagging any variance above defined thresholds for review.
- Prepare short-term liquidity forecasts and identify funding requirements for active remittance corridors, so corridors stay funded ahead of settlement.
- Track foreign exchange exposure and monitor settlement timing across partner banks, escalating mismatches that affect funding or cost.
- Maintain accurate treasury records, payment logs, and audit-ready documentation to support regulatory and statutory reporting.
- Provide month-end treasury inputs for the close process, including intercompany positioning and accrual support.
- Help improve treasury workflows, dashboards, and reporting through better structure and automation, reducing manual handling over time.
- Support the onboarding and operational integration of new banking and payment partners, including testing of payment flows and account setup.
Qualifications
Education
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or a related field is required.
Experience
- Zero to two years of experience in treasury, banking, payments, audit, or FP&A. Relevant internships count.
- Exposure to multi-currency operations, payment flows, or regulated financial services is an advantage.
Skills
- Strong Excel skills, including comfort working with large datasets and building structured reconciliations.
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach to handling numbers and exceptions.
- Clear written and verbal communication in English. Additional European languages are a plus.
- A practical interest in automation tools such as Python, SQL, or BI platforms is valued, though not required.
