We’re looking for our next payroll specialist. You’ll report to the payroll team leader.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the work of multiple payroll providers in multiple countries. First scope for this role would be help with the payroll cycle in Spain and US
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time ensuring all employees receive their salaries, bonuses, and benefits as scheduled.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll regulations, including tax reporting and filings, to avoid any legal issues.
- Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records for all employees, ensuring data integrity and privacy.
- Resolve payroll issues and discrepancies promptly, providing support and clear communication to employees and management.
- Prepare and distribute detailed payroll reports and analyses to management, offering insights into payroll expenses and trends.
- Oversee and maintain payroll software systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure cohesive and efficient payroll operations, including the coordination of employee benefits and compensation changes.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations, and implement necessary updates to payroll processes and systems to remain compliant.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in a successful HR position with payroll experience.
- Professional-level English and Spanish
- Must-to-have: knowledge of payroll in the Spanish and US markets
- Energetic, well-organized and team spirited.
- Proven experience in Spanish employment laws and tax regulations.
- Understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and labor laws in other markets us a plus.
- Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
