Project Manager – Mechanical | Data Centres | Europe

A global data centre developer and operator is now scaling rapidly across Europe, they are hiring a Mechanical Project Manager to lead delivery on mission-critical builds.

The role

• You’ll own the mechanical scope from design through to commissioning. Day to day, you’ll be:
• Planning and managing the full mechanical package across HVAC, chilled water systems, chillers, piping, ventilation and BMS interfaces.
• Leading contractors, consultants and internal teams to deliver on programme, budget and spec.
• Reviewing designs and drawings against client requirements, codes and standards.
• Overseeing installation, testing and commissioning on site.
• Driving quality control, H&S compliance and adherence to ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISO and NFPA standards.
• Managing cost tracking, procurement and change control.
• Working alongside electrical, civil and controls teams to ensure integrated delivery.
• Reporting weekly to senior stakeholders and clients.

What you’ll bring

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5 to 8 years in mechanical project management, with at least 3 on data centre or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of data centre mechanical infrastructure: chilled water, DX cooling, economisers, CRAC/CRAH.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, ISO, NFPA and local codes.
• Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera.
• Fluent English and Spanish.
• PMP or equivalent preferred.
• Willingness to be on site and travel as required.
