Manpower is partnering with a leading international investment fund to expand its Barcelona office with the hire of a Senior M&A Associate . This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and play a key role across the full investment lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage due diligence processes for potential transactions.
  • Support the end‑to‑end acquisition process, including execution and negotiations alongside senior stakeholders.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and industry analysis to identify investment opportunities.
  • Prepare high-quality presentations and materials for boards, investors, banks, and other stakeholders.
  • Analyse and assess business models and strategic positioning of target companies.
  • Build and review financial models, including company valuations, LBO models, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Support the preparation of investment memorandums and transaction documentation.
  • Coordinate with auditors and external advisors during financial and operational reviews.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for portfolio monitoring and performance tracking.
  • Produce financial reports and consolidation packages for internal and client use.
  • Implement and oversee financial best practices across the company and its portfolio.
  • Identify new investment opportunities through data analysis, research, and market intelligence.
  • Contribute to marketing and business development initiatives linked to investment activities.
  • Provide additional support on strategic or ad hoc projects as required by senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or transaction services.
  • Previous experience in audit or accounting is a plus.
  • International experience or exposure is highly valued.
  • Full professional proficiency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and grow professionally.
