We are currently partnering with a fast-growing international fintech, looking for Backend Engineers (Senior & Mid-level) to join their operations automation team based in Málaga (hybrid model) .

This team is building the internal systems that power automation across key business areas like Legal, Finance, and HR. It’s a high-impact environment where engineering meets operations, moving from manual processes to intelligent, AI-driven workflows.

What you’ll do:

• Design and build scalable backend systems that automate complex operational processes
• Work on workflow orchestration and distributed systems, handling real-time and asynchronous processes
• Contribute to the development of AI-powered solutions (LLMs and agents) to reduce manual work
• Collaborate closely with product and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Improve system reliability, observability, and performance in production environments
• Mentor other engineers (for senior profiles) and contribute to technical decision-making

Your profile:

• Experience building backend systems (Node.js, TypeScript, Python or similar)
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and asynchronous architectures
• Interest or experience working with LLMs, AI workflows, or automation systems
• Comfortable working across different parts of the system and improving existing solutions
• Strong communication skills in English
• For senior candidates: experience mentoring and leading technical initiatives
